X-RAY & ULTRASOUND

Imaging your pet

We are equipped with a digital X-ray at Hilltop.  Most x-rays are carried out under sedation or general anaesthesia and allow us to assess the skeletal system and internal organs of your pet.

Because the system is digital we can take multiple pictures without having to unduly extend the time your pet is asleep, and obtain high quality images suitable for interpretation in-house and for exporting digitally for second opinions.  We are always happy to show you your pet’s x-rays and explain our findings.

Ultrasound is very often carried out without the need for sedation and is used to look at soft tissues and fluids and of course for pregnancy diagnosis.
