Oxford Vets - Hilltop Vet Centre

e are equipped with Digital X-ray and an ultrasound scanner at Hilltop.  Most x-rays are carried out under sedation or general anaesthesia and allow us to assess the skeletal system and internal organs of your pet.  Because the system is digital we can take multiple pictures without having to unduly extend the time your pet is asleep, and obtain high quality images suitable for interpretation in-house (including by our specialist surgeon) and for exporting digitally for second opinions.  We are always happy to show you your pet’s x-rays and explain our findings.

We also have a mobile CT scanner which visits monthly. This can produce some of the most advanced images available and help to diagnose disease and plan surgical intervention.

e have in-house laboratory equipment which allows us to carry out blood analysis, urine tests and to examine samples under the microscope.

When more specialist tests are required, we use an external laboratory, via a next day courier service. Lab reports are emailed back to the vet dealing with your pet, who will contact you to discuss the results.
