Stephen Swancott RVN DMZAA
Clinical Nurse lead
My career started as an intern zookeeper at 18, I completed my apprenticeship training and qualified several years later. I had the privilege of working with primates, big cats, antelope, many bird species, and the occasional mouse! Following this I wanted a new challenge and ventured into the world of veterinary nursing. I trained on the job as an apprentice in rural Welsh practice, qualifying as an RVN in 2024.
Throughout my student training I travelled abroad, volunteering across Africa on veterinary projects which ranged from caring for rescue lions in Limpopo, assisting a wildlife sanctuary in Zimbabwe and aiding researchers in remote Madagascar!
I plan to continue assisting conservation efforts globally.
In my free time I can be found drinking coffee, mountain biking, travelling and playing my sax !
