Vet/Owner

Having qualified from The Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2001 I spent 10 years in a busy first opinion veterinary practice in the West Midlands. As well as a lifelong enthusiasm for all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, I am passionate about treating animals as a whole, with attention to details such as lifestyle, body condition and dental health. Since 2004 I have provided acupuncture to animals alongside conventional medicine.

After having our first child, my husband and I decided to move back home to Oxfordshire. In 2011 I became Head Vet at a hospital near London, leading a team of first opinion and referral vets and nurses. After having my second child I centred my working life closer to home, providing locum cover for vet practices in the local area. During 2016 I began to put together a plan for Oxford’s newest veterinary centre, the culmination of years of helping to run other practices and wanting to provide somewhere special for the animals under my care. I am delighted to finally see the realisation of my long-held dream in Hilltop and count myself as very fortunate to be able to work with my wonderful colleagues and the lovely pets of Oxford and their owners.

Away from work I enjoy village life, being part of a long distance book club, cooking with my kids and going on long walks with my dogs, three rescues of Kelpie and Collie origin. My addiction is dog agility and I can often be found driving up the country on a weekend to compete with my littlest dog who I think might enjoy her training even more than me!
